More Details
------------

Left and Right D-Pad: moves your car one lane over to the left or right for each D-pad press. If there are opposing cars in the lane you wish to move to, your car will return to its original lane in order to avoid damage. There is no need to "steer" in NASCAR 07, your car will go around the track in its current lane without your help. Your job is to maneuver your car to pass opposing vehicles and to obtain the best routes through turns.

Up and Down D-Pad: increases or decreases the potential speed of your car. If there are cars blocking you your car will not change speed immediately in order to avoid hitting another vehicle. Driving at faster speeds increases your chance for sliding and accidents.

* Key: press this key to enter the pits. If you are under a yellow flag then pressing this key will immediately bring you to pit row. If you are under a green flag your car will continue driving until you reach the pit row entrance at which point you will enter the pits.

Appropriate Soft Key or Clear/Back Key: pressing either of these keys will bring up the pause menu.  From the pause menu you can exit the game.  You can return to your race by pressing the appropriate soft key.}

2500,{Entering Pit Row
----------------

To enter pit row you must press the * key. When you do this while under a green flag your car will continue driving around the track until it reaches the entrance to pit row. Once you reach the pit entrance you will be taken to the pit stop screen. If you enter the pits while under a yellow flag you will instantly be taken to the pit stop screen.

Repair Body Damage
------------------

You can repair any body damage to your car by selecting either Minor, Major or Full Repairs from the menu list. Minor Repairs will fix all yellow damaged areas of your car, will reduce orange damaged areas to yellow, and red damaged areas to orange. Major Repairs will fix all yellow and orange damaged areas and will reduce red damaged areas to yellow. Full repairs will fix all damaged areas.

High levels of damage mean you will drive slower and have less control over your vehicle, so make sure to repair damaged areas as soon as you can.

The more repair work you do, the more time your pit stop will take.

Change Tires
------------

You have the option to change worn out tires. All your tires will be replaced when you choose this option.

Highly worn tires will cause you to spinout more often. Spinouts often result in crashes, so be sure to keep your tires fresh!

Add Fuel
--------

When adding fuel to your car you can either fill up your tank, or just add a quick splash to top you off. Fill up when you have a lot of race left to go and add a splash if you only have a few laps left.

Pit Times
---------

The longer you spend in the pits the poorer your position will be when you finally get back in the race.  A timer at the top of the pit screen will tell you how long you will spend in the pits if you conduct all the actions you have chosen from the menu.  Change your actions to see how they impact the clock.  Once you have decided what you want done to your car, hit the appropriate soft key to enact the changes to your car and re-enter the race.}
