More Details
------------

Left and Right D-Pad: moves your car one lane over to the left or right for each D-pad press. If there are opposing cars in the lane you wish to move to, your car will return to its original lane in order to avoid damage. There is no need to "steer" in NASCAR 07, your car will go around the track in its current lane without your help. Your job is to maneuver your car to pass opposing vehicles and to obtain the best routes through turns.

Up and Down D-Pad: increases or decreases the potential speed of your car. If there are cars blocking you your car will not change speed immediately in order to avoid hitting another vehicle. Driving at faster speeds increases your chance for sliding and accidents.

* Key: press this key to enter the pits. If you are under a yellow flag then pressing this key will immediately bring you to pit row. If you are under a green flag your car will continue driving until you reach the pit row entrance (as marked by a green dot on the track map) at which point you will enter the pits.

OK Button: This button calls up or changes car ID tags. Car ID tags can be set to show the car's number, the car's position in the race, or the ID's can be turned off. Cycle through the settings by pressing the OK button repeatedly.

Appropriate Soft Key or Clear/Back Key: pressing either of these keys will bring up the pause menu.  From the pause menu you can exit the game.  You can return to your race by pressing the appropriate soft key.}
{Pit Stops}
2500,{Entering Pit Row
----------------

To enter pit row you must press the "*" key. When you do this while under a green flag your car will continue driving around the track until it reaches the entrance to pit row (as marked with a green dot on the track map in your HUD). Once you reach the pit entrance you will be taken to the pit stop screen. If you enter the pits while under a yellow flag you will instantly be taken to the pit stop screen.

Repair Body Damage
------------------

You can repair any body damage to your car by selecting either Minor, Major or Full Repairs from the menu list. Minor Repairs will fix all yellow damaged areas of your car. Major Repairs will fix all yellow damaged areas and reduce orange damaged areas to yellow. Full repairs will fix all yellow and orange damaged areas, and reduce red damaged areas to yellow.

High levels of damage mean you will drive slower and have less control over your vehicle, so make sure to repair damaged areas as soon as you can.

The more repair work you do, the more time your pit stop will take.

Change Tires
------------

If you want to change tires you can choose to either change 2 or 4 tires during your pit stop. If you change 2 tires, your right side or left side tires will be replaced depending upon which set are most worn. If you change 4 tires then all your tires will be replaced.

Changing 4 tires takes longer than changing 2 tires.

Highly worn tires will cause you to spinout more often. Spinouts often result in crashes, so be sure to keep your tires fresh!

Add Fuel
--------

When adding fuel to your car you can either fill up your tank, or just add a quick splash to top you off. Fill up when you have a lot of race left to go and add a splash if you only have a few laps left.

Pit Times
---------

The longer you spend in the pits the poorer your position will be when you finally get back in the race.  A timer at the top of the pit screen will tell you how long you will spend in the pits if you conduct all the actions you have chosen from the menu.  Change your actions to see how they impact the clock.  Once you have decided what you want done to your car, hit the appropriate soft Key to enact the changes to your car and re-enter the race.}

When starting a Chase, select "The Chase" from the main menu. If you are continuing a saved game then you will begin at the next race in your saved game. If you are starting a new Chase you will taken to a setup screen.

During setup, you will need to select which driver you will use for the entirety of the Chase

Once you have selected your driver and difficulty you will begin the first race of The Chase. Each race of The Cup is on a different track, so be sure to learn the ins and outs of all the tracks in NASCAR 07 so you can always race your best.

Scoring
-------

After each race in The Chase you and all the other drivers will earn points based on performance. Points will accumulate from race to race and after the 10th race whichever driver has the most points wins the Cup.

The points awarded at the end of each race in The Cup follow the NASCAR race point system. The higher you finish the race, the more points you receive. 1st place receives 180 points, 2nd place receives 170 points. From there, the point total declines in five-point increments for places three through six, points awarded drop four points per driver for positions seven through 11 and three-point increments separate drivers' points for finishers in 12th place or lower.

Drivers also receive five points for leading a lap and an additional five points for leading the most laps.

Game Lobby Scoring
------------------

After you finish the last race of The Chase you can have your final score posted to the Game Lobby High Scores list.  Network charges may apply.}
{Winning Tips}
1800,{**Effective use of drafting and boosting will give you a decisive edge. Perfect your skills of getting up close behind the car ahead, building boost, and making a quick pass to rocket ahead.

**Try to wait for Yellow Flags to pit. Because the race continues at full speed while you pit under a Green Flag you can lose a lap on the other drivers. Only pit under a Green Flag if you are about to run out of fuel, excessive tire wear is giving you serious control problems, or your car has sustained heavy damage.

**When you pit, keep an eye on how your pit time is effected by your decisions. Fueling up often makes sense, but major repairs or getting a full set of fresh tires is not always worthwhile, especially near the end of the race.

**Driving at RED speed all the time is not smart. You'll burn more fuel, wear tires faster, and are more likely to spin out. Driving in RED on turns is extra risky. If you find that you are losing control, slow down

**Avoid collisions and damaging your car. Light damage is ok, but severe damage will slow you down, and repairs require protracted pit stops. You can reduce the odds of a collision by keeping your car under control, staying out of tight packs, and being quick on lane changes to avoid pileups.

**On each race track, each turn on the track has a "best" lane. "Best" lanes allow you to get through the turn quicker than the other lanes. Try to learn which lanes are the best for each turn. Your spotter will give you hints.

**At PRO and LEGEND difficulty, the other drivers will be more competitive, and the races more unforgiving of mistakes, so you'll have to ramp up your skills to stay competitive!}
